CEREBRALREVIEWMENT - Hello and thank you for making time for this! Infibulated fucking rules!!!! Who are you and what is your role in the band?
JHENRY - Hey man. Glad you like this project! I’m Jhenry guitarist of the band.
How long has Infibulated been together? How did it all start?
We started this project on 2019 but Jose and I had the idea of doing it since long before.
Then I asked Max to be Vocalist and Roman to be a drummer and we recorded the the songs promo between 2019-2020. Max sent the promo to Daniel of NSE and he signed us immediately and released it. For the album Nikhil joined the band as a drummer, he did an awesome job on it!
What is life like for you guys? Can you talk a little bit about the band member's jobs outside of the band? You guys have families and kids? Are you able to get together and practice often? and anything else you'd like to share.
This started as an studio project because Jose and I lived in Ecuador and Max and Nikhil live on the US. But we already had some invitations to play live, so it's something we don't rule out being able to play as a live band in the future.Nikhil: I’m a full time university student, no kids yet hahaha
Max: I do graphic design at Intravenous Design
Jose: I work at an appliance company, I work as a cashier and salesperson. I have two sons, Daniel and Isaac. ❤️ I don't have much free time, but when I do, I love practicing bass and listening to music.
Jhenry: I work as Dental Technician, I have two daughters; Danna and Anna Paula (I love them)
"Diabolical Euphoric Subjugation" came out in 2023. It is a masterpiece of blasting guttural chaotic technical slamming brutality. How would you guys describe that album?
Who did the art for that?! What a gem!
Caleb Diederich did the artwork for the album — it’s an amazing piece, and we all loved it!
I usually start by writing riffs on the guitar, then I begin piecing them together and recording once I feel they’re ready to be part of a full song. Once the guitar tracks are done, I send them to the rest of the band so they can record their parts over them. We record guitars and bass at my home studio, while Max and Nikhil handle vocals and drums in their own studios too.
Can you say anything about a coming 2nd album???
It is currently in the writing process. I already have two songs written on guitar, and we hope to record the second album by the end of this year.
I can’t wait to hear more new material!!! Will the next album be similar? Any new musical directions being taken? And will the recording and production be similar?
Yeah man, it will be similar to the debut album in both composition and production. I’m sure brutal freaks will enjoy it!
Could you name 3 of your favorite albums? They could be from any genre.
It’s a very hard question, but here are some of my favorite albums of all the time:
Disgorge - Consume the Forsaken
Orchidectomy - A Prelate’s Attrition
Thank you so much!!!! Anything you’d like to say to your fans???
Thank you for making this interview possible — I really enjoyed answering the questions. Thanks to everyone who has supported this project from the beginning. Expect a new album full of darkness and brutality next year.
